Appeal from legal aid refusalNot all applicants are successful in their initial application for legal aid. They may be found to be financially ineligible, or to have a problem that doesn’t fall within coverage rules, or both. If you are denied coverage you will be notified of the refusal, including the reason for refusal, and of your right to appeal the decision to the Clinic board of directors. On an appeal the board may at its discretion grant an application that has been refused or amend the terms on which it has been granted
